The Organ
The dismantling and the move were not entirely successful, and, until recently, parts of the organ were badly aligned.
A few years ago the organ was badly in need of restoration and so it was dismantled and removed to their premises in Petersfield by the famous organ building firm of Willis & Sons. They carried out a thorough overhaul and re-installed the organ in St Andrew's, curing the previous misalignment.
An unusual feature of this organ is the 'false' mouths painted on some of the pipes. Apparently, when the organ was in St Peter's, Frimley, the pipes faced away from the congregation. To make the organ appear more attractive to the congregation, false mouths were painted on the visible pipes.
