Services at St Andrew's

Being a broad church we value the journey into faith as much as certainty of faith and provide a range of services from the traditional to the more informal.Hymn Board

Sundays
8.00 a.m.Holy Communion
This is a traditional Service of Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer. Lasting approximately 30 minutes, this is a quiet and reflective start to the day.
9.30 a.m.Parish Communion
A Service of Holy Communion based on Common Worship with music being led by our choir. The service usually lasts for 70 minutes and is followed by refreshments.
There is a crèche and also a Sunday Club (in the Church Hall) for children during term time. Children are of course welcome to stay in the service throughout. The vicar’s philosophy with regard to lively children is to celebrate their presence among us.
11.00 a.m.Open Door informal worship
Open Door is our more informal worship service, with singing led by our small music group. The service lasts for approximately 1 hour and is followed by refreshments.
Children move to their own activities during the service.
The Open Door service is held each Sunday except the Second Sunday of the month.
11.00 a.m.Youth Service
This is a special service for our local Scout, Guide and other uniformed organisations.
The Youth Service is held on the second Sunday of each month except for January, April, July, August and September.
6.00 p.m.Evening Worship
This is usually a traditional Service of Evensong led by our choir.
(Generally, on the 3rd Sunday of the month.)
Wednesdays
10.30 a.m.Holy Communion
A midweek service of Holy Communion lasting approximately 30 minutes, followed by refreshments.

Easter & Christmas
