With a firm conviction that God has revealed in Jesus Christ his love for all people, our aim at St Andrew’s is to create a place where everyone is welcome. As a church we do not say ‘you had better subscribe to a specific list of beliefs or you won’t belong here.’ Instead we simply say, ‘Come and join us; come and explore what it means to have a Christian faith in today’s world.’ As such, we are a broad church and our members come from different traditions and backgrounds. This is reflected in our range of services which spreads from the traditional to the more informal.
On a practical note, if you have young children please rest assured that you shall be most welcome to join us. In school term time we have a crèche and the Sunday Club available. Alternatively, children are always welcome to stay with their parents throughout the service and there is a collection of toys available at the back of the church. With a relaxed atmosphere there is usually a steady traffic back and forth.
Of course, not only young families with children, but families of all shapes and sizes and people of all ages are welcome and lifts can be provided for anyone without transport.
